New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ New Wave Entertainment) - FAITH AND THE MUSE is hitting the road to promote their sixth studio album : ankoku butoh :. The LA based band is mounting their most ambitious theatrical undertaking yet, with a 9-person live line-up, featuring taiko drums, a full string quartet, butoh/tribal fusion dancers, and elaborate costumes, in addition to their usual rock set up. The band will be touring 40 North American cities in 40 days this April and May. They recently returned from the European leg of the tour where they left capacity crowds spellbound, garnered rave reviews and chart topping album sales.

Known for their experimentation with sounds and cultural influences; Faith And The Muse looks to the east for inspiration on their new CD/DVD/Book : ankoku butoh :.The use of taiko drums and orchestral arrangements, mixed with Monica Richard's serenely evocative vocals and William Faith's multi-instrumental talents and intense vocal performance, adds new depth to the band's genre-busting sound which incorporates rock/punk/world.

FAITH AND THE MUSE is MONICA RICHARDS, who got her start on the DC scene before fronting Strange Boutique, and WILLIAM FAITH (Christian Death, Shadow Project, Mephisto Walz). The live line-up also includes: Marzia Rangel - bass, Paul Mercer - violin, Geoff Bruce - drums, Julia Cooke - taiko drums, Steven James - guitar, Aradia & Lucretia of Serpentine - dancers / back-up vocals, and DJ Scary Lady Sarah - Mistress of Ceremonies.
