New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Josh Rouse will tour in April with 'El Turista,' described by Time as 'a polyglot mix of instruments and cultures,' which Yep Roc will release March 9. Vanity Fair dubbed the album "an exercise in Spanish relaxation" and Paste was moved to marvel at Rouse's ability to "[explode] into beautiful new aural shades with each album." And USA Today said that standout track "I will Live On Islands" "could pass for a 'Graceland' outtake." The road is familiar to Rouse, who recalls his peripatetic childhood in this TakeAway Shows video shot in Barcelona (one of several), featuring his acoustic performances of "Cotton Eye Joe" and "Valencia" from 'El Turista', accompanied on piano by Raul Fernandez: https://vimeo.com/8519718 Fernandez and Robert DePietro (drums) will join Josh in April to recreate the "entrancing" (American Songwriter) Mediterranean idyll of 'El Turista' live. Also joining Josh for this run is producer Brad Jones on bass. "Stand up and dance if you feel like it," Vanity Fair suggests. "Or sit with a drink and let it flow over you." 'El Turista' has received 4 out of 5 star reviews in both Mojo and Q magazines.
