LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ EMI Music) - The Queen Musical We Will Rock You has been shortlisted for this year's Audience Award For Most Popular Show.

The award, voted for by visitors to the Official London Theatre website pits Queen and Ben Elton's We Will Rock You up against Billy Elliot, The Phantom Of The Opera, War Horse and Wicked.

We Will Rock You opened in the West End at the Dominion Theatre on 14 May 2002. A number of international productions have followed the original, and We Will Rock You has been seen in Ireland, Australia, Canada, Russia, Spain, Japan, South Africa, Zu"rich, Vienna, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong. As of July 2009, productions are still active in Great Britain, Italy and Germany.
Vote for We Will Rock You in the Laurence Olivier Awards. Voting closes at 17:00 on Wednesday 17 March 2010.
