New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - This past November, after announcing a residency at LA's Hotel Cafe, Butch Walker asked fans to request songs he should cover via Twitter. The first night of the residency spawned a fun cover of Swift's hit, "You Belong With Me," which was the No 1 request from fans. Later that night, Walker recorded his own banjolin-based version of the song, filmed a making-of video and posted the results on his Youtube channel. In less than two days the video (https://www.youtube.com/butchwalker) went viral and resulted in Swift tweeting a link to the video, declaring "@butchwalker covered You Belong With Me and I'm losing my MIND listening to it! Blown away." Last night, Butch joined Swift on stage with Stevie Nicks at the GRAMMYS telecast to perform his own stripped down version of the song with her.
