Music announce the February 23, 2010 release of "Live From the
Heart of Europe," a CD/DVD combo package from international sensation Guido's Orchestra. "Guido's Orchestra - Live From the
Heart of Europe" was recorded in June 2009 exclusively for PBS, in
Europe at the point where Holland, Belgium and Germany meet. 6,500 people came to join Guido and his guests at this stunning venue on a beautiful summer night.
Having captured the heart of fans around the world, Guido is finally bringing his music to American audiences.
Guido's Orchestra is a chart-topping act led by Holland-born Guido Dieteren. He is a virtuoso violinist, conductor and composer; and his unique mix of Classical/Rock crossover, featuring his own compositions and some of the best-loved music in the world, has already won him huge success in Europe. His recent single, "The 7C's," sung by his wife Wendy Kokkelkoren, sold over 30,000 copies in Holland - a music industry record for this small country. Guido's Orchestra concerts are sell-out events in Europe.
Guido has performed with many world-famous artists including Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Marco Borsato, Petula Clark and many more. In October 2009, Guido performed with Diana Ross in two spectacular concerts in Holland.
Guido's Orchestra combines famous classical works (Beethoven's "Ode To Joy"; Puccini's "E Lucevan E Stelle"), pop songs, and movie themes, as well as original compositions. He blends romantic strings with rock guitar sounds, engages in musical battles with percussion groups, and draws exquisitely sweet melodies from the his own violin to charm and mesmerize.
Over the past five years, Guido's Orchestra has collaborated with some of the great pop voices of our time, including Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, and Diana Ross. Now, this singular ensemble steps out on its own, before a potentially huge new audience.
