WASHINGTON, DC (Top40 Charts/ ImaginePR) - DC native Ted Garber fills the spaces between musical genres with his own unique brand of 'BluesAmericanaRock.' A self-proclaimed student of culture, the all-American singer-songwriter has taken his howling harmonica riffs and potent guitar licks to more than thirty countries on four continents. His music is a combination of three major inspirations - his late folk musician father, the New Orleans rhythm and blues scene, and his love of travel, culture and language. The result is his new album 'American Rail'' - a deeply personal collection of songs steeped in American tradition with an international twist.

'American Rail' portrays the depth and diversity of the Ted Garber sound. The album's opening track, 'It's About Time,' showcases the blues and grit of Garber's voice and harmonica playing, while the Katrina-inspired 'Giving Tree' features the full power of Garber's big band sound. 'Break Me Down' reveals Ted's folkier and gentler side, while 'Montevideo' incorporates a jazzy international flavor, and highlights the singer's impressive language skills. Ted's talent is endorsed by appearances from some of the Mid-Atlantic's top artists, including Mary Ann Redmond, Mike Clem (Eddie From Ohio), Chris Watling (Last Train Home, The Grandsons), Brian Simms (Junkyard Saints) and producer Marco Delmar.

Garber began playing professionally when he was 19 years old, during his days as a student at Tulane University in New Orleans. Like the Frames' Glen Hansard, Ted got his start busking on street corners before breaking in to the New Orleans live scene. Following in the footsteps of his late father Holly Garber, a popular DC-area musician, he has gone on to perform in more than a dozen states and 30 countries, packing venues as diverse as DC's legendary 9:30 Club, the Viper Room in Los Angeles and Nashville's Bluebird Cafe. Live, Ted ignites audiences, whether he's a captivating soloist one night or a commanding frontman the next. His well-honed talent and contagious energy is successfully showcased on his latest album 'American Rail'.
