NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Susan Boyle's 'I Dreamed A Dream' (Columbia/Syco) is the biggest selling release of 2009 after only six short weeks since being released on November 23, 2009. 'I Dreamed A Dream' continues to hold the No 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for the sixth consecutive week with 136,000 copies sold, a total of 3.1 million copies sold in the U.S. to date. Internationally, Boyle's debut album was also No 1 again on the charts this week in Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands. 'I Dreamed A Dream' has shipped over 8 million copies worldwide.

Already a RIAA-Triple Platinum Certified album in the U.S., 'I Dreamed A Dream' and Susan Boyle broke records worldwide over the past six weeks, including:

-First artist in the Billboard 200's 53-year chart history to enter the list at No. 1 with a debut album and spend six consecutive weeks at the summit
-Largest-ever debut for a female artist on the Billboard 200 in the Soundscan era
-Boyle's performance of "I Dreamed A Dream" from "Britain's Got Talent" was YouTube's most watched video of 2009
-Fastest selling global female debut
-The only 2009 release to hold the No 1 spot consecutively for six weeks
-Largest CD pre-order in the history of the Amazon.com Music Store
-Highest album pre-sales for QVC and Barnes & Noble Online

Here's what press are saying of Boyle's whirlwind success:

"Susan Boyle stands at the vanguard of an explosion of creative musical talent unprecedented in its global breadth." - Huffington Post

"...there's no stopping her" - Billboard

"Susan Boyle continues her dominance of the U.S. pop charts" - LA Times

"Pop music's fairy-tale story of the year" - USA Today

After an audition for "Britain's Got Talent," in which Boyle immediately impressed the judges, the audience and then anyone with access to YouTube's expectations by dazzling her way through a version of "I Dreamed A Dream" from Les Miserables. A tornado of rumination and amazement grew around Susan Boyle feverishly, with over 300 Million YouTube hits and nearly two million Facebook friends to prove it.

'I Dreamed A Dream' was recorded during the summer of 2009. Susan first entered a recording studio in July in London, picking songs that resonated with her. The final results shocked both her and veteran producer Steve Mac with its beauty and musical impact. "It was important that I could feel everything I was singing," she says. The 12 track collection features Susan Boyle performing signature songs such as "I Dreamed A Dream", "Cry Me A River," as well as her haunting rendition of The Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses," Madonna's "You'll See," The Monkees' "Daydream Believer," and "Who I Was Born To Be," an original recording written especially for Susan.
