New York (Top40 Charts/ Webster PR) - On November 3rd, Belmont University's Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business hosted the second of three sessions in its inaugural Professional-in-Residence series withWynonna Judd. The Professional-in-Residence Program provides a small group of senior level students the opportunity to engage Wynonna in an intimate, conversational setting. Along with Judd, her manager Kerry Hansen and long-time producer and musician Don Potter contributed to the Q&A discussion panel series. Having previously explored challenges of the creative lifestyle and the development of an artistic career, Judd and Hansen moved on to address issues related to selling creative works. Conversation revolved around the balance between art and commerce, and the session included a performance workshop designed to help student performers know their audiences. The series will conclude in January with Wynonna advising students about career planning and financial responsibility. Wynonna's participation in the 2009-10 Professional-in-Residence program marks the second significant mentoring contribution she has made to Curb College students. Earlier this year, students in Sarita Stewart's Record Company Operations class had the privilege of working closely with Wynonna and Hansen, to oversee, promote and execute a concert and CD release party exclusively for Belmont students for her seventh studio album Sing:Chapter 1, the first of its kind for the university and Judd. The three-part series will explore topics related to Wynonna's personal journey in the entertainment industry as both an artist and a businesswoman.
