Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Left Of Center Records) - Just in time for the holiday synonymous with all things ghoulish, another teaser from the much-anticipated upcoming acoustic CD on Rural Rhythm records, Quicksand, is being offered from artist and renowned resonator guitarist, Randy Kohrs. Co-written with former guitarist of the Randy Kohrs Band, Andrew Crawford, 'The Ghost of Jack McCline' is available beginning this Monday, the 26th, for exclusive free mp3 download on award-winning site, The Bluegrass Blog. www.thebluegrassblog.com/free-randy-kohrs-download 'The Ghost of Jack McCline' tells the harrowing tale of a woodsman who refused to give up his land to 'big money' and is soon mysteriously never heard from again. His ghost is said to haunt the houses that were built from the trees cut down from his property. As with so many scary tales, there are no definite origins for this one, either. Crawford, a South Carolina native, says the concept was based around stories that have been passed down in his family for generations and immortalized for the first time through this song. The drop date for Quicksand, originally set for October 12th, was pushed back to January 12th, 2010, due to Kohrs' busy schedule on the road and in the studio working as a session musician on other artist's projects. Also in the works for the Grammy-winning producer is a mainstream-oriented country CD. 'Since we didn't get to put the record out when we originally said we would, I wanted to at least do something around that date. This song just seemed perfect for the Halloween season,' explains Kohrs,' so we rushed to get it out. I know we've only got a few days left before the 31st, but I'm hoping people will still be able to enjoy and appreciate it for the holiday.'
