Chuck Prophet Announces US Tour As 'Let Freedom Ring!' Hits Stores Today On Yep Roc

New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Chuck Prophet will launch a US tour amidst praise for the new album '?Let Freedom Ring!,' out today on Yep Roc. The Houston Press raved that "a new Chuck Prophet album is better than Christmas [and 'Let Freedom Ring!'] finds Prophet on top of his game." Prophet will be backed on tour by The Mission Express: Stepanie Finch (keys, vocals), Kevin White (bass), Todd Roper (drums), James DePrato (guitars). Chuck Prophet got his start with the underground American rock & roll heroes Green On Red.

Spinner.com spoke to Chuck about recording in Mexico City amidst the April swine flu outbreak. He told Spinner, "Mexico City is an ancient and ailing metropolis, but at the same time it's booming. It rocks, it bustles, it's a hell-hole and it's paradise. Yes, it's also the capital of the second or third world, our own urban future - almost sci-fi. It's not the place you want to be when the black plague comes down."
