Nashville, TE (Top40 Charts/ Warner
Music Nashville) - The video for
Blake Shelton's brand-new single 'Hillbilly Bone' will premiere exclusively on Yahoo!
Music on October 30th. The music video single will be available for purchase on iTunes beginning November 3rd.
The video stars Shelton and his long-time friend Trace Adkins, who duets with Shelton on the track. 'I had the best day shooting this video with Trace. He has been a great friend for many years and for him to take time out and come down and play a hillbilly with me was so cool. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Trace is one funny guy,' Shelton said. "Blake and I have been great friends for a long time now,' Adkins says. 'He is hands-down, one of the funniest guys I know, so doing this song and video with him was really a no-brainer."
Fans should keep their eye on www.blakeshelton.com for behind-the-scenes photos and video footage that will begin to appear on the site beginning October 19th and continue up until the video's Yahoo! Music premiere. 'Hillbilly Bone' is currently streaming at www.blakeshelton.com.
'Hillbilly Bone,' written by Luke Laird and Craig Wiseman, is a comedic, sing-along song about being so different, but yet really the same. The track is the first single from Shelton's forthcoming CD release-the follow up to Shelton's 2008 album Startin' Fires.
Shelton has released five studio albums, including Startin' Fires. His current hit single, "I'll Just Hold On," broke into the Top 10 on the country singles charts and was the follow-up to his back-to-back multi-week No. 1 singles "She Wouldn't Be Gone' and 'Home.' Shelton's hits also include his six-week No. 1 debut single, "Austin," and two additional multi-week No. 1 singles "The Baby' and 'Some Beach.' Blake recently performed several dates on George Strait's summer tour.
With his unmistakable basement-deep voice, Adkins has 27 charted hit singles, 14 of which broke into Billboard's Top 10. His albums have achieved Gold or multi-Platinum certification and three have debuted at No. 1. Adkins has received a string of nominations from multiple music award shows including CMT, the CMA's, and the GRAMMYS. In 2008, he won the ACM Single of the Year Award for the chart-topping song 'You're Gonna Miss This.' His latest hit single climbing the charts is "All I Ask For Anymore," the tender ballad from X, his tenth album on Capitol Records Nashville.
