NASHVILEL, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Valory Music) - The Valory Music Co. recording artist Justin Moore's " Small Town USA" soared into the No 1 spot on both the Billboard and USA Today/ Country Aircheck (powered by Mediabase) Country Singles charts this week. The jump makes the breakout star the ONLY new artist to reach No 1 on the Country Singles charts in 2009. Moore's "Small Town USA" makes the Arkansas native the first solo artist to have a song from his/her debut album go No 1 since Taylor Swift's "Our Song" (from her Big Machine Records self-titled release) in December 2007. "It is extremely humbling to have the No 1 song in the country," says Moore. "There are a lot of great artists that never get to experience this feeling. I am forever indebted to everyone at country radio, and all the fans for this moment. This record has changed my year, my career, and ultimately...my life! Thanks to all!" "Small Town USA" marks Moore's first No 1 single and the second chart-topping single for young independent The Valory Music Co, sister label of Big Machine Records. Next up, Moore will perform "Small Town USA" on nationally-syndicated morning show, The Daily Buzz, Tuesday, September 29th. Moore's self-titled album debuted at No 3 on the Billboard Country Album Chart AND at No 8 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. The success of Moore's inaugural album made it the 2nd highest Country music debut of a new artist in 2009.
