New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Danish singer/songwriter will Tina Dico head stateside this fall for a series of dates, on the heels of major accolades for her trilogy of EPs 'A Beginning, a Detour, an Open Ending' - not to mention a major feature in the current issue of W Magazine, on stands this week, which hails Dico as "a superstar" who "does music, not to mention fashion, her way."
On stage, Dico will highlight songs from the collection in a live show The New York Times hailed in a glowing review this spring as "expressive" and a showcase for her "strong, sonorous" voice and "poignant" songwriting. Accompanied by her longtime collaborator Helgi Jonsson - who the Times also singled out for his "expansive vocal range" - Dico will kick off at NYC's Highline Ballroom for the first stop on the seven-date tour, which also includes Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle and Philadelphia.
A burgeoning critical darling, Dico has drawn raves from Newsweek for her "strong lyrics with captivating melodies," with other recent praise ranging from a 3 (out of 4) star review in People, to rhapsodic commendations like this Boston Globe passage: "Few artists write melodies as lucid as their lyrics, and Dico showcases her gifts on this emotionally complex, often beautifully rendered set...She's a confessional songwriter, but like the best, her songs speak on a universal level."
