(Top40 Charts/ Audio Fidelity Records) - Marshall Blonstein and his specialty label Audio Fidelity are making 2009 a memorable year by releasing a steady flow of classic rock releases. On September 1, 2009 the imprint officially released Alice Cooper Killer and The Pretenders self titled release in their popular 24 Karat Gold limited edition format.

When Killer was released in 1971 Rolling Stone called it one of the best albums of the year and hailed The Pretenders first album in 1980 as one of the 500 greatest albums ever recorded. It was an easy choice for Audio Fidelity to add these two fine rock classics to their catalog.

Alice Cooper was the king of shock rock and lead vocalist of The Pretenders Chrissie Hynde paved the way for an entire generation of women with aspirations to front a rock band with roots in punk. Both individuals were very important figures in the development of rock music and each album represents the vocalists and bands completely.

The Pretenders featured Hynde's tough in your face vocals and the late James Honeyman Scott's trademark guitar lines while Alice Cooper and his band was in a class all by themselves, creating their own brand of horror shock rock with elements of blues to make their release an unusually eclectic rock album for 1971. The essence and power of each release is captured by Audio Fidelity taking the analog masters and carefully putting them through a sonically constructed vintage tube playback deck and then their Kensei Audio Transformer for the ultimate reproduction of a true crisp rocking sound that everyone wants to hear on one of their favorite albums.

Whether you're a music fan, rock historian, collector or audiophile, there is something to appreciate with the recent 24 Karat Gold releases.
