New York (Top40 Charts/ ENLIVEN!) - Canadian singer-songwriter Kellylee Evans is entering the next phase of her music career with her sophomore album, The Good Girl. On Wednesday, September 2nd, Evans will debut that new music for New York audiences at The National Underground.

The alt.-soul pop recording follows her 2006 critically acclaimed urban-jazz debut, Fight or Flight, which helped garner the Toronto native Juno and Gemini award nominations in 2007 (the Canadian equivalent of Grammy and Emmy awards) and a win for best female artist at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards. She also took second place in the prestigious Thelonius Monk International Jazz Vocals Competition, whose judges included Quincy Jones and Al Jarreau.

Evans' music has been steadily reaching out across the world, garnering her praise and recognition. Her songwriting chops have earned her comparison to Aimee Mann, Elvis Costello and Ron Sexsmith. Her debut CD was selected as a Barnes and Noble Discover New Artists release alongside Corinne Bailey Rae and Gnarls Barkley. She has opened for the likes of Tony Bennett, Maceo Parker, Derek Trucks and Chris Botti.
