Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts/ Creative Classic Agency) - With a voice reflecting the perfect melodic blend of
Aretha Franklin and a splash of Dolly Parton, there is no question as to why Al Mac Will (Alice McAfee Williams) has been appointed to speak through music on her debut project "Stand Still" and deliver the new sound of Urban Country Gospel (UCG) to the world.
Al Mac Will's dual singles "Stand Still" and "Holy Is the Only Way" arrived at radio stations across the nation mid-June and interview requests immediately began pouring in. Radio station support spans the US including stations in Nashville, TN / New Orleans, LA / Detroit, MI / Fayetteville, NC / Dayton, OH / Houston and Austin, TX.
An accompanying video for "Stand Still" will reach video outlets early Fall.
The most skeptical will likely be inclined to listen upon hearing that musical legend Stevie Wonder personally added the 'Urban' in the UCG name for Al Mac Will, but one listen to Al and you're captivated at the fullness of her voice and intent behind her lyrics, cosigner or not. Passion, inspiration, triumph, tribulation and rejuvenation brilliantly intertwine to create the smooth sound of the new Urban Country Gospel genre which combines the best elements of Gospel, Country, R&B and Pop. It is a unique musical combination of gentle funk with a driving but subtle bass beat; the twang of sweet steel guitar and a groove that's new yet familiar.
From New York to Las Vegas to Los Angeles, Al Mac Will has only begun what is surely a life-long illustrious career. Notably she's shared the stage with key figures in Gospel music including the 'Father of Gospel' - The Late Rev. James Cleveland and the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Charles Mays, Dorothy Norwood, The Williams Brothers and held the position as lead singer for The Ricky Grundy Chorale. This has all prepared and set the stage for the introduction of her musical home - Urban Country Gospel - and for these very moments as she moves forward with her debut release, "Stand Still" in stores and on-line October 20, 2009 on Xodust Word & Music / Thank You Entertainment distributed by Fontana/Universal Music Group.
