New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Cara Dillon - Ireland's preeminent Irish folk singer who wields 'quite possibly the world's most beautiful female voice' (Q) - will enrapture US audiences on her upcoming Fall tour, which begins September 18 at the World Music Festival in Chicago, IL. Dillon will be touring in support of her gorgeous new album 'Hill of Thieves,' out September 15 on Charcoal Records/Proper American. 'Hill Of Thieves' keeps Dillon's gorgeous voice at the the center of each composition. All the arrangements were conceived by Dillon and her husband Sam Lakeman, who also produced the album, with Lakeman's guitar and piano providing the foundation for each track as fiddles, whistle, bodhran and uilleann pipes build around them. Dillon's best selling album to date in the UK, 'Hill of Thieves' was met by across the board praise upon it's release earlier this year. The BBC said 'it's impossible not to be held spellbound... an artist this good deserves to be savored,' and the Daily Mirrors' 4-star review called it "a finely-etched, faultlessly delivered set."
