NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Columbia Records) - Coming off a set of highly acclaimed shows at SXSW, North Carolina based rock band The Avett Brothers gear up to begin their cross country tour starting April 16th in Indianapolis and wrapping on July 25th in Myrtle Beach. This 48 show schedule includes 8 supporting dates with The Dave Matthews Band and one with Widespread Panic. The Brothers will also be stopping at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Sasquatch! Music Festival, and the Forecastle Festival.

Having played over 200 shows in the last year, the Brothers have long since perfected the art of live performance. Their electrifying force on the stage radiates onto the crowd creating a charge of energy and excitement throughout their fans of multiple generations. The bond that The Avett Brothers form with the audience is both intimate and treasured to both fan and artist alike. To be witness to The Avett Brothers performance is to become part of a family who welcomes back the true pleasures, beauty and magic of music.

"They're traveling troubadours of the inner workings of the heart and head, these men in their stage suits wielding banjos with the force of weapons," says Paste Magazine. "They communicate all the gray areas and intricacies thereof through simple sonic textures; bluegrass strings join keys, kick drums, sweet crooning and guttural screams."

The songs are honest: just chords with real voices singing real melodies. But, the heart and the energy with which they are sung, is really why people are talking, and why so many sing along. They are a reality in a world of entertainment build with smoke and mirrors, and when they play, the common man can break the mirrors and blow the smoke away, so that all that's left behind is the unwavering beauty of the songs. That's the commotion, that's the celebration, and wherever The Avett Brothers are, that's what you'll find.

The Avett Brothers are currently featured on the March/April cover of American Songwriter magazine talking for the first time about their upcoming American Recordings debut (and 10th studio album), I and Love and You slated for an August 11th release and produced by Grammy award winning Rick Rubin.

The story of The Avett Brothers has been told by word of mouth until now. Come witness what thousands have been loyally following and speaking about for years...
