LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ With A Bible And A Gun Official Website) - With a Bible and a Gun will mark their one-year anniversary by playing The Key Club in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 15 with guitar slinger extraordinaire Junior Brown. With a Bible and a Gun will also play live on the long-running radio show 'Travel Tips for Aztlan' on KPFK 90.7 in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 pm until midnight with host Mark Torres. As the premier Johnny Cash tribute act, With a Bible and a Gun is a band whose story began by playing shows atop a 22-foot long flatbed truck in California's Norco State Prison in 103-degree heat in April of 2008. Since then, this Los Angeles-based quartet has gone on to wow crowds at venues and festivals throughout California with Corby Gallegos fervently playing his acoustic guitar and possessed of a voice that is eerily similar to that of the late Mr. Cash. The band includes Jim Vitale (electric guitar/backing vocals), Mike Salazar (bass/backing vocals) and Alex Carlisle (drums). With a Bible and a Gun plays Cash's many classic hits and obscure gems and animates them all with an authentic energy and attitude that leaves crowds exhilarated and calling for encores. Further details on With a Bible and a Gun and a few Cash classics as recorded by the band can be heard at the band's website https://www.myspace.com/withabibleandagun. The life of Johnny Cash is legendary and the influence of his music can be counted by a who's who of musical stars in many genres. Cash, one of only a select few performers to be inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame, remains a beloved international musical icon and phenomenon now some five years since his death.
