Miami, FL. (Top40 Charts/ Basic NYC) - Basic NYC's Miami shindigs have become one of the WMC's most anticipated annual traditions. Nothing can top the intoxicating mix of incredible DJs delivering breathtaking sunset sets in the hotel's tropical gardens, with revelers surrounded by a vibrant crowd of partiers, DJs, and industry movers and shakers alike. It's something we dream of all year, and can't wait to return to each March.
This year, Basic NYC celebrates their sixth year of doing WMC events, including their fifth anniversary at the Beach Plaza Hotel. This year we are also excited to introduce a new venue - the wide-open roofdeck at the Bentley Hotel on 5th and Ocean; more details will be announced soon! Musically, we're offering a wide spectrum of house and tech, with parties featuring some of our best friends from the Beach Plaza years past and a few newcomers as well..
Here are just a few of the choice highlights of the week.
* The funky west coast sounds of Olivier Desmet's Amenti Music returns for their third WMC showcase, featuring the Lawnchair Generals and Ken from the East Coast Boogiemen.
* Halo's Citydeep Music celebrates five years of amazing deep and soulful house with their fifth straight showcase at the Beach Plaza. Joining Halo will be some of Europe's most exciting new producers, including Rocco and Claude Monet.
* The esteemed APT Entertainment agency presents its first-ever Beach Plaza showcase with agency mainstays like Mark Farina and Heather headlining the festivities.
* There will be free popsicles once again at the Afternoon Delight, as deep house DJs like Andy Caldwell and Marques Wyatt deliver the goods to an up-for-it party crowd.
It hardly gets more "Miami" than partying WMC-style at the Beach Plaza Hotel. The gardens, complete with shady palm trees and landscaped waterfalls, is the ultimate atmospheric venue. With a wooden dancefloor, private cabanas, and a crystal-clear soundsystem, it's a perfect place to spend a WMC day. Rooms are also available at the Beach Plaza for those who want to roll right out of bed and get their party on.
