Moore became quite emotional after sharing the news of his Opry invitation with his family.
'My manager called and told me as I was driving to CRS to visit with all the radio folks,' says Moore. 'I kind of have the reputation of a 'hardass,' but I called my Dad immediately, and he and I cried on the phone. And, I don't feel like a sissy at all about it!'
'Playing the Opry is something that, everyone who does what I do, dreams of doing one day. I can't even put into words what this means to me and my family,' continues Moore. 'I grew up on the music that was made famous by all the stars of the Opry. It has been a long, long time since I've been nervous to play music - but, I get nervous just saying 'I'm playing the Grand Ole Opry!' After Friday night, I could die happy!'
Moore's debut radio single, 'Back That Thing Up,' was a Top 40 hit on Country radio. The colorful music video for the single created a stir amongst fans and the industry.
His new single, 'Small Town USA,' was a Billboard Hot Shot Debut and rose into the Top 45 this week. The music video for 'Small Town USA' was shot in Moore's own hometown of Poyen, Arkansas, and features multiple generations of his family - from both of Moore's grandfathers to his young cousins. The video for Moore's highly-personal anthem can currently be seen on GAC as well as CMT Pure and Music Choice.
