Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ RCA Records) - RCA Nashville hitmaker Jake Owen roars onto the country album sales chart this week, as his sophomore collection, Easy Does It, takes it anything but easy with first-week sales in excess of 23,000, earning Jake a No 2 berth on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.

The first single from Easy Does It is one of eight songs Jake co-wrote for the album, and this week, 'Don't Think I Can't Love You' remains an airplay powerhouse continuing to climb the country radio Top 10.

Following his release-week visit to ABC's Good Morning America, fans can check out Jake's interview from his appearance, as well as an exclusive, web-only performance of album track 'Cherry on Top,' online now under 'Winter Concert Series' on the GMA homepage at www.abcnews.go.com/gma

Jake's album drew praise from Billboard for its 'refreshing mix of thoughtfulness ... and testosterone,' and OK! Magazine places the emphasis on the latter this week, spotlighting the charismatic Owen for its 'Man Candy' feature in the March 9 issue (on stands now).

Owen recently earned a pair of nominations for The 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, where he's up for Vocal Event of the Year, as well as the fan-voted Top New Male Vocalist. Voting is now in its final days, running through March 5th at gactv.com.

Jake first hit the national scene with the release of his debut album, Startin' with Me, which launched a trio of hit singles, including the title track, 'Yee Haw,' and 'Something about a Woman.' Since then, he's toured with some of country music's biggest names, including Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, and Sugarland.
