New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Instrumental quintet Toubab Krewe continue to bring their "distinctive, remarkable fusion" (Billboard) of West African music with rock to cities throughout the U.S. by adding an extensive set of dates to their ambitious show schedule supporting the release of 'Live at the Orange Peel' (Upstream/ADA, in stores 4/7).

The current tour has the band bringing their dance-frenzy inducing music on a 40-city cross-country trek, making stops in cities including Boulder, Kansas City, Denver and Chicago. They return to the South March 19 for a Spring Tour down the Florida coast with Asheville friends Jar-e.

Toubab Krewe will be back on the East Coast in April for shows in New York, Boston, Baltimore and Burlington, and will head south in June for this year's highly anticipated Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.

Listen to 'Autorail' for a sample of the "futuristic, psychedelic, neo-griot frenzy" (Village Voice) shows coming to a town near you:

About Toubab Krewe:
The instrumental quintet's five members, childhood friends and long-term musical collaborators who joined up in 2005, have spent extended periods studying with musical luminaries in Mali, Ivory Coast, and Guinea and learning traditional instruments such as the kora (a 21-string harp) and the kamel ngoni (a lute).

'Live At The Orange Peel' features eight previously unreleased tracks, including collaborations with legendary spoken-word artist Umar Bin Hassan of The Last Poets and fiddler Rayna Gellert. 'Live At The Orange Peel' is now available from iTunes and Amazon. Fans who buy the album on iTunes will be treated to a free bonus track called "Sekou," recorded live at the band's most recent show at Asheville's Orange Peel.
