LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Atsiaktonkie Official Website) - Hailing from the Akwesasne (Mohawk) Territory, Singer-Songwriter Atsiaktonkie (ah-jeeak-doon-gee-ay) releases his first solo project since departing ways with Native Alternative Folk Rock Band December Wind in 2006.

On his new 14-track CD, Four Wolves Prophecy, Atsiaktonkie mixes elements of folk, rock, country and Americana with poignant lyrics, harmonious melodies, and vocals reminiscent of Neil Young and Michael Stipe (REM).

Atsiaktonkie has been a singer-songwriter for over 10 years. His superb musical style has delighted audiences across the country and internationally in Canada, garnering such comments as "The most beautiful music I ever heard," "I simply must buy this CD," "Every cut is a gem," "Just incredible," "Absolutely worth a listen" and "Top-notch." He has even caught the attention of Neil Young who sent Atsiaktonkie the song "The Treaty" to record.

With his new album, Four Wolves Prophecy, over 1,500 songs to his credit, nomination for four national awards including two Native Music Awards, as well as two highly acclaimed CD's Sacred Voices (Canyon Records, 1999) and Second Wind (Strong Wind Records, 2005), Atsiaktonkie has become a one of the most admired industrious trendsetters in folk music today.
