 Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Curb Records) - Curb recording artist Heidi Newfield garnered five nominations this morning for the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards slated for Sunday, April 5th in Las Vegas. In addition to a nod for Top Female Vocalist, Newfield earned nominations in the Single, Song, and Video of the Year categories for her debut solo single, 'Johnny and June.' Having co-written the song along with Deanna Bryant and Stephony Smith, Newfield was recognized in the Song of the Year category as both an artist and composer, bringing her total number of nominations to five and making her the most-nominated female in country music this year. Ecstatic, Heidi recounted her eventful morning: "My manager, Greg Hill, called and woke me up this morning and said 'turn your TV on'...My husband and I watched the nominations with teary eyes and total elation!' She added, 'The support and excitement for me and this record has really blown me away, and I'm so proud for all the wonderful people who've been involved in it. I am truly honored and blessed. This is one of the happiest days of my life, so far!"
