Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Country Crossing Records) - In Overdrive set for Feb. 3 release on Nippit/Country Crossing Records. Aaron Tippin's new CD, In Overdrive, is the artist's earnest tribute to the American over-the-road truck driver. The 14-song set of country music classics, set for release on Feb. 3, also includes "Drill Here, Drill Now," the politically-charged anthem that generated national attention last fall. "East Bound and Down" will be the first single from the new set, a song written and originally recorded by Jerry Reed and immortalized as the unforgettable theme of the 1978 movie Smokey and the Bandit. Aaron Tippin's stellar career has included one platinum and five gold CDs and the artist has charted more than thirty singles, including three number one hits: "There Ain't Nothing Wrong With the Radio" (1992), "That's as Close as I'll Get to Loving You" (1995), and "Kiss This" (2000). He most recently released a CD called He Believed in 2008, which was sold exclusively through Cracker Barrel restaurants.
