Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation) - Lorrie
Morgan and friends are pleased to announce Keith Bilbrey has stepped in to act as Master of Ceremony for the Life Through
Music Concert (Thursday, February 5, 2009) organized for the benefit of renowned musician and Nashville resident, Chris Kent, who is fighting a life battle with Multiple Myeloma (MM).
Keith Bilbrey, the original host of "Grand Ole Orpy Live," is one of Music City's most-recognizable voices on TV and radio. He has been an Opry announcer for 22 years, a WSM on-air radio personality for over three decades and was recently featured in the A&E "Biography" for Buck Owens and Ronnie Milsap. Bilbrey intends to add "author" to his remarkable resume; he has plans to write a book outlining his life and experiences in the industry in the coming months.
Big-ticket items to be featured in the silent auction at the Life Through Music Concert include: 2 guitars (a Gibson Les Paul Goddess and a Taylor 110 acoustic) autographed by Lorrie Morgan, a VIP tour of the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum (for up to 20 people), 2 VIP "Dinner and a Show" tickets to two separate shows in 2009 at the Wildhorse Saloon, a 2 night-stay at the world-famous Opryland Hotel, a 4-hour limo ride (provided by Land Mark Transportation and Travel), 4 Predators tickets and a variety of collectable and memorabilia items donated by the performing artists.
Proceeds from the concert and corresponding silent auction will be dedicated to assist Chris with his medical and family living expenses. Items are being accepted for the silent auction. Those interested in making a monetary donation or donating items for the silent auction should contact Joshua Motohashi via e-mail at: [email protected].
Chris, who has been a member of the Lorrie Morgan organization for six years and refuses to let MM stop him from fulfilling his musical dream, will perform alongside longtime friends and band-mates at this enchanted event.
