New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - The
Sam Roberts Band's most ambitious tour to date continues to grow, adding new dates and selling out venues like Detroit's 1000-seat St. Andrew's Hall. Newly announced dates include a stand at Austin's South by Southwest
Music Festival and a stop at LA's legendary Troubadour.
Roberts and his band are currently on tour in Canada, where he's been playing to capacity crowds all winter, performing songs from 'Love At The End Of The World' (Rounder, 2/18/09). Already released in Canada, it's been getting raves from outlets like the Montreal Gazette, who called it " rock'n'roll, with heart and soul." When it comes to his live show, the press is no less effusive. They've called him "a hit", a "genius", and a "dyed-in-the-wool rock star" with " levels of star-power and sex appeal [which are] positively Mick Jagger-ish" (Vancouver Sun).
