Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Mercury Nashville Records) - Mercury Nashville recording artist Billy Currington tops the country singles chart for the third time in his career with the first single off his current album. Little Bit Of Everything debuted on October 14 to rave reviews and consists of 12 tracks, 5 of which Currington had a hand in writing.

In the coming months Currington will appear in People Magazine's popular Country Music Issue and perform on several national television programs. He is also hitting the road this spring, helming a busy tour schedule.

Currington took some time to reflect on this feat and share his gratitude with his fans.

'This is such an honor for me - 'Don't' is one of my favorite songs I've ever recorded and it feels so good for country radio and my fans to embrace this song.'

Currington debuted in '03 with the powerful Top 10 hit 'Walk A Little Straighter', followed by the Top 5 smash 'I Got A Feelin''. He went on to duet with Shania Twain on 'Party for Two' and quickly earned notoriety, a devoted fan base and platinum sales status.
Sophomore album Doin' Somethin' Right debuted at No 2 on the country charts and further delivered with the hits. 'Good Directions' and 'Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right' snagged him his first and second No 1 singles, the latter of which also won him 'Hottest Video of the Year' at the '06 CMT Music Awards.
Currington has been nominated for awards from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association, named to People magazine's 'Sexiest Man' list and chosen as an 'On The Verge' artist by USA Today.
