Taylor Swift Tops 2008 Year-end Canadian Country Albums Chart With No 1 And No 2 CDs

TORONTO, Canada (Top40 Charts/ Big Machine Records) - Big Machine/ Open Road Recordings artist Taylor Swift took the No 1 and No 2 slots on Billboard's 2008 Country Album Chart ( Canada ) with Fearless and her self-titled debut. Swift ranks seventh on Nielsen SoundScan Canada 's top-10 selling artists across all genres in 2008. With North American sales of her self-titled debut and Fearless exceeding 4 million copies in 2008, Swift was the best-selling artist across all genres of music last year.

2008 was a stellar year for Taylor Swift. Her sophomore release, Fearless, reached double platinum in just four weeks and was the year's biggest debut for any female artist, and the fourth highest debut of 2008, over all . Taylor 's latest single, "White Horse" is top-20 at Canadian Country Radio and "Love Story" broke into the top-10 on Canadian Top-40 Radio.
