Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Matchless Records) - Former PovertyNeck Hillbillies singer Abby Abbondanza and Matchless Records have teamed up to offer one lucky fan a chance to win a once in a lifetime experience.

In a promotion ending March 1, 2009, one fan can register to win a trip to accompany Abby at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music awards in Las Vegas on April 5, 2009. The winner will receive airfare, hotel accommodations, and tickets for two.

To enter, contestants must purchase a copy of Abby's new album, Promised Land, (either as a digital download or CD) at www.abbyabbondanza.com.

Promised Land features 11 tracks, including the album's self-titled single and a modern version of the Johnny Rivers classic "Swayin' to the Music (Slow Dancin')." Abby wrote or co-wrote nine of the album's tracks. Shawn Pennington and Steve Peffer, both Pennsylvania natives, produced the album at The Sound Kitchen in Nashville, Tenn.
For interview requests, albums or photos, please contact Christy Watkins at [email protected] or 615-269-7071.

Abby Abbondanza joined the Pittsburgh-based PovertyNeck Hillbillies in 2002, where the band developed a significant following along the East Coast. They sold more than 60,000 copies of their two independently released albums and garnered national attention with their single "Mr. Right Now" before breaking up earlier this year.
