Trisha Yearwood has received three 2009 GRAMMY Nominations from her critically-acclaimed album Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love.
Last night the
National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences honored Yearwood with nominations for Country Album of the Year (for her Big Machine debut Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love;); Female Country Vocal of the Year (for her hit single "This Is Me You're Talking To"); and Best Country Collaboration With Vocals (for "Let the Wind Chase You," her powerful duet with Keith Urban).
"When my producer, Garth Fundis, called me to tell me I had three Grammy nominations, I said, "Are you kidding me?" What a sweet surprise! I am always honored to be recognized by NARAS, and am proud and excited for everyone who has been involved with the HHPOL album," says Yearwood.
Yearwood is no stranger to the Recording Academy - she is a three-time GRAMMY Winner and a four-time nominee. She most recently earned a 2008 GRAMMY Nomination for her lead single from her current album - the title track "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love."
