Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Arista Records) - Reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year and two-time ACM Top Male Vocalist Brad Paisley hits a new milestone today as he tops Billboard's country airplay chart with his smash, "Waitin' on a Woman." Not only does the song mark the fifth No 1 single from the aptly titled 5th Gear album (along with "Ticks," "Online," "Letter to Me," and "I'm Still a Guy"), but it also extends Paisley's run of No 1 singles to a record-setting eight consecutive, non-seasonal chart-toppers - more than any other country artist in the 18-year history of Nielsen BDS-monitored airplay.

In addition, Paisley leads the format in 2008 with his three most recent singles tallying a remarkable eight weeks atop Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, twice as many weeks at No 1 as any other country artist this year.

And happily for Brad fans, the year is far from over with the all-out groove of his new single, "Start a Band," a duet with Keith Urban. Arriving at country radio today, "Start a Band" is the first single from Paisley's upcoming album, Play, releasing November 4.

BRAD PAISLEY EXTENDS THE PAISLEY PARTY INTO 2009

After securing his eighth consecutive No 1 single, the fifth off his current album 5th Gear and the twelfth of his career, with "Waitin' On A Woman," Brad Paisley has announced the last leg of The Paisley Party tour which will extend into early 2009. Paisley has invited fellow Opry member Dierks Bentley to be his very special guest on the 24 day tour starting in January with Darius Rucker opening January dates and Crystal Shawanda February dates.

Current CMA and ACM Male Vocalist of the Year, Paisley received his first Grammy Award this year for Country Instrumental, "Throttleneck," and has just garnered his twelfth No 1 single of his career with "Waitin' On A Woman." The Paisley Party has played to over 502,000 fans so far this year and last year's Bonfires and Amplifiers Tour was ranked No 2 in total attendance for country tours by Pollstar. Play - Paisley's highly anticipated guitar-driven mostly-instrumental album will be released November 4 and includes special guest vocals and collaborations with B.B. King, Keith Urban, Steve Wariner and Buck Owens. His next single is "Start A Band" with fellow guitar-slinger Keith Urban.

Coming off his career fifth No 1 hit, country music star Dierks Bentley firmly made a place for himself at the top of the charts with his third disc, Long Trip Alone, which spawned two number one hit singles, six GRAMMY nominations and CMA nods for "Album Of The Year" and "Male Vocalist of the Year." The Phoenix native spent the past year headlining his Throttle Wide Open Tour in both the US and Europe, while making time to play some of the biggest music festivals in the country, including Lollapalooza in Chicago. Having already won every new artist award offered by the industry (CMA, ACM, CMT), Dierks Bentley is poised to join the ranks of country music's elite with his fourth album, currently slated for release in early 2009. The lead single "Feel That Fire" was just released to country radio and with plans to take a break from the road this Fall, Bentley will be fired up to introduce other brand new music to fans on the 2009 Paisley Party Tour.

As the voice of Hootie & The Blowfish, the Grammy-winning band that has sold over 25 million albums worldwide, artist Darius Rucker is hardly an unknown. But now music fans are hearing a fresh side of this distinctive performer with his first country smash, "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," currently a Top 5 hit and still climbing. Darius Rucker's highly anticipated Capitol Records Nashville album debut, Learn To Live, hits stores on September 16th and features Paisley on guitar on the track "All I Want."

Crystal Shawanda grew up on the Wikwemikong reservation on Canada's Manitoulin Island where she and her family found daily comfort and hope through music. In Ojibwe, Shawanda means "Dawn of a New Day," and a new day is what music has given Crystal. A citizen of both the U.S. and Canada, Crystal began performing at the early age of 13 at Nashville's Famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, where she earned her first standing ovation. After several years of traveling back and forth with her father who drove a truck through Nashville on his North-South run, Crystal began a permanent gig at Tootsie's at the age of 16. Her powerful, high-energy performances are what landed her a record deal with the RCA Record s Label Nashville. Dawn Of A New Day, Crystal's recently released debut album, features her emotional debut single, "You Can Let Go," which is climbing the country radio charts.
