BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros. Records) - Coming off two successful headlining tours,
Missy Higgins continues to entertain audiences across the U.S. this Fall. Beginning on
September 9th, Missy will open for Indigo Girls, followed by a stint supporting piano man
Ben Folds beginning on
September 24th. Prior to both tours, she will perform her single "
Where I Stood" on The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno on August 28th. Missy's live show has been praised as having, "...that radiance performers exude just as their stars begin to ascend." - Los Angeles Times
As always, Missy will continue to keep her tour green by traveling in a bio-diesel bus. She has been named one of Billboard magazine's ten Green Artists in the magazine's "Green" issue. In addition, the United Nations profiled Higgins on her eco-initiatives on https://www.un.org/works/sub3.asp?lang=en&id=102, while The Sierra Club has posted her PSA on https://www.sierraclub.org/twopercent/.
Later this Fall, Missy will release a brand-new digital EP, entitled Where I Stood, which includes never-before-heard tracks, covers, and live performances. "Where I Stood" has sold more than 100,000 tracks on iTunes in recent months driven largely by her songs being featured in TV shows like Grey's Anatomy, Smallville, One Tree Hill, Brothers & Sisters, and The Hills.
Missy's second album, On A Clear Night, has been certified triple-platinum in Australia and earned her the 2007 ARIA Award (Australia's Grammy) for "Best Female Artist" two years in a row. The album, which was produced by Mitchell From, has yielded a No. 1 single ("Steer") as well as a Top 10 single ("Where I Stood").
