Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ TelluRide Official Website) - TelluRide and NASCAR driver John Andretti recently joined forces to raise money for Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. The "Race For Riley" three-day event included a visit to the children's hospital, a benefit dinner featuring TelluRide in concert, and a go-kart race with Andretti. The beneficiary of the week's events, Riley Children's Hospital, was TelluRide's first stop. "There were five floors of amazing doctors, nurses and techs helping kids with every medical issue you could think of," said drummer Brian Smith. "Visiting these families made us even more appreciative of how lucky we are to be able to give back to those going through hard times." TelluRide performed at the Race for Riley sponsors dinner, which recognized the event's donors and sponsors, and donated all proceeds from the show's CD sales to the hospital. The conclusion of the Race for Riley was a go-kart race, where participants competed to race against John Andretti. TelluRide's own Ryan Jones made it to the final round and competed against the NASCAR driver. "The entire event was a great experience for us," said lead singer Adam Craig. "We were able to connect with the families that we're helping, have a fun show, and even race with one of NASCAR's best!" Nashville-based TelluRide is a country music group with national accolades. The band catapulted to the top eight of CMT.com's Music City Madness 2 competition last year, with the hit video for "Phone Song." TelluRide keeps a busy touring schedule and has recently opened for artists such as Gretchen Wilson, Sara Evans, and Little Big Town in cities across the country.
