Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Nine North Records) - Nine North Records president Larry Pareigis has announced the addition of Tom Moran to the Nine North team effective immediately. Moran, most recently vice president of promotion at ShowDog Records, joins Nine North as vice president of promotion and marketing, reporting directly to Pareigis. The move reunites the pair, who worked together at Sony BMG Nashville's imprint Columbia Records under then-president John Grady. "I'm thrilled to be invited to work with Larry Pareigis and Nine North," says Moran. "As business conditions and the cost of doing business continue to bring consolidation and cutbacks at the majors, it will become more apparent and more obvious to all that the model Larry has designed is the future of country music promotion. The music is good and the staff is good...look for good things from Nine North." After many years in the pop and rock worlds, Moran has done promotion for Polydor, Warner Bros, and Columbia. He was vice president of Epic and subsequently Show Dog. Most recently, Moran has been hired to consult several record labels. "I'm honored that the best natural promotion man I've ever worked with would extend Nine North this vote of confidence by joining us," notes Pareigis. "It also makes the future of this business model a more exciting and viable one with him becoming a part of the Nine North team."
