New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Love Psychedelico's 'gutsy, Stones-inspired guitar riffs' (NPR) are putting them on the map in the U.S. The superstar co-ed Japanese rock duo have just released their U.S. debut 'This Is Love Psychedelico' on Hacktone Records and are earning adulation from critics nationwide.

•NPR Music featured Love Psychedelico's 'Standing Bird,' one of the group's standout tracks, on 'Second Stage,' their showcase for breakout bands.

•Philadelphia Daily News' Jonathan Takiff raves that this 'frisky, frothy co-ed duo have been twisting my brain inside out with their nimbly shape-shifting, bilingual Japlish lyrics (listen long enough and it makes sense) and super-catchy guitar- and keyboard-buzzing rock.'

•Jason Ferguson from the Orlando Weekly declares 'Trafficking in a sophisticated and organic approach that owes a considerable debt to American classic rock and AM pop, Love Psychedelico defies nearly every stereotype of Japanese pop.'

'This Is Love Psychedelico' is a best of collection featuring 13 songs from the band's previous Japanese releases, re-mastered by legendary engineer Joe Gastwirt (Tom Petty, Brian Wilson). Their infectious tunes interwoven with Japanese and English lyrics illustrate their peace-loving ethos borrowed from the American flower-children of the 1960s. Though the group cites their obsession with the British pop invasion and 70s classic rock styles as strong influences, their sound has an 'unique flair and vitality all its own' (NPR).

Superstars in their native Japan, the duo - Kumi and Naoki- formed in 1997 as students at the Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo and have sold four million albums since the release of their debut album 'The Greatest Hits' in 2001. Love Psychedelico have their own line of organic coffee, the theme song to the NHK's (Japan's broadcasting corporation) partnership with Major League Baseball and draw sold-out crowds to Tokyo's 14,000 seat Budokan Stadium.

Love Psychedelico are already making an impression stateside. At a recent performance at the Apple store in San Francisco, the duo's appearance brought so many fans to the store that security was forced to shut down the second floor and turn people away in droves.
US tour dates to be announced shortly.
