Billy Childers Makes New Fans And Friends At CMA Music Festival

'Having so much talent concentrated in one place makes this event unique from all others. I don't know that there's another genre of music that brings together so many fans for one all-encompassing event like the CMA Music Festival does.' Indeed, the event formerly known as Fan Fair is one of very few events - if not the only event - where you'll find an up-and-coming artist signing autographs next to the likes of Carrie Underwood. 'It was a great week to see and meet fans from all over the world. It's a homecoming celebration with a really big extended family, and it was fun to be a part of that for the very first time.'

Throughout the week, Billy got quite a lot of face time with fans as he signed autographs at the Sprint-Nextel, Greased Lightning, Mr. Coffee, and Select Comfort booths! 'It was also fun getting to know the staff of the sponsor booths while we had the chance to meet the fans.' He found the booth exhibitors and everyone involved in this event to be very accommodating and friendly. Billy also enjoyed interviewing with the international press outlets that were in attendance for the four-day festival. 'It was wonderful seeing their love for, and being so enthusiastic about, country music. To share my music and get acquainted with people outside of the United States was a very fun experience.'

Look for Billy this Friday, June 20, at Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Chicago , Illinois ! Aspiring artists are being chosen for the 'Next Big Star' competition at locations across the US for the chance to open for Kenny Chesney on one of his Poets & Pirates tour dates. Billy has been selected as a finalist to compete at the downtown Chicago location! The competition begins at 9pm, and fans are invited to come out for this free event to cheer Billy on in this opportunity to becoming the Next Big Star!
