Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ RCA Records) - RCA Nashville star Chris Young was among the big hits of the 2008 CMA Music Festival last week, performing at the Greased Lightning Daytime Stages at Riverfront Park as well as the Chevy Music Stage, amid a host of appearances that included nearly 13 hours of meeting fans and signing autographs at the Nashville Convention Center and his own fan club event. Further solidifying his status as a Music Fest favorite was word from the official on-site vendor, Borders, who reports Young's self-titled debut album as the No 5 bestseller behind blockbuster albums from such mega-stars as Carrie Underwood and Alan Jackson. Young also provided visitors to his Music Fest booth with something extra special: an e-mail of his new single, 'Voices,' accompanied by personalized, recorded dedications of the song to the most significant person in each fan's life - all in keeping with the theme of 'Voices,' which celebrates those echoes of words and advice from family and those around us who shape our lives. Each fan received the song and dedication e-mailed as a keepsake, while the same e-mail also went to the special person to whom the fan had the song dedicated. As Chris said, 'I've been blessed to have not only great family members, but also a large, extended group of friends who've encouraged me along the way, both personally and professionally. It was very rewarding to be able to give this small gift back to my fans, who are the best in the world.' Chris' sophomore album, featuring 'Voices,' will be released later this year.
