NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ KPI Records) - British soul singer, multi-instrumentalist, writer, producer Kirsten Price is extending the British tradition of re-interpreting American soul music in a fresh, innovative way. Her self-released debut album Guts & Garbage, which Billboard describes as 'fiery and impressive,' hits stores in North America on July 1st, 2008. CD Release Performances will take place in San Diego, Los Angeles and New York City.

Kirsten Price will bring her 'ferocious rock-and-soul pipes' (Washington Post) to Elbo Room in San Francisco on June 23rd, U31 in San Diego on June 25th, Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on June 27th and a special hometown headlining performance at the Highline Ballroom in New York City on July 11th. More summer tour dates to be announced.

Kirsten Price has been previewing music from her debut onstage to audiences across the country and in Europe and has also showcased her powerful vocals in front of the camera on the Fox25 Morning Show in Boston, VLAZE TV in LA and the industry-lauded Billboard Underground.

Select footage from these performances can be viewed below:

Price's influences are prevalent on Guts & Garbage. From the seductive back-stepped groove of 'Magic Tree' that kicks off the album, the 'Nawlins howls that lead to the driving chorus of 'All Right' to the sultry ballad 'Fall,' Guts & Garbage not only crosses genres, it imbeds a stamp and digs a groove into them.

Guts & Garbage will have its physical release on July 1st, 2008 on KPI. For more information, check out https://www.kirstenprice.com
