DETROIT, MI. (Top40 Charts/ Cass Records) - Acclaimed Detroit street-rockers The Go hit the East Coast with three shows: New York City's Knitting Factory on June 19, New Haven's Cafe Nine on June 20 and Baltimore's Talking Head Club on June 21. Ticket and show details are available on the band's web sites at thegodetroit.com and myspace.com/thegodetroit.

Donning dark shades, shaggy manes and maximum swagger, The Go's high impact, rollicking rock party is not to be missed.

The Go emerged from the hallowed Detroit garage-rock scene in the late '90s along with their more famous brethren, The White Stripes, In fact, Jack White did a stint as The Go's guitarist during the band's early days. In 1999 Sub Pop records released The Go's debut CD Whatcha Doin'. The band's trademark gritty, low-fi-by-design sound rooted in R&B and Soul continued with The Go's second 'official' full-length release, self-titled The Go (Lizard King Records). Two cuts from this disc, "Blue Eyes Woman" and "Summer's Gonna Be My Girl" were featured on the soundtrack to the 2006 remake of Wes Craven's classic horror-thriller film The Hills Have Eyes.
Additional tracks were featured in the Emmy Award winning television sitcom My Name Is Earl. The Go's third album, Howl On The Haunted Beat You Ride was released in late 2007 by Ben Blackwell's Cass label to overwhelmingly positive reviews. The CD's content marks a distinct contrast to The Go's first two releases; fusing lush vocal harmonies, intriguing lyrical imagery, and psychedelic vibes with gutter-slick rock fun.

Currently, The Go is recording new material, with an expected early 2009 release. The band recently previewed a new track 'It's Only in Your Mind' on Don Was' and Harry Shearer's MyDamnChannel.com.
