Music Festival in Nashville, TN., June 5-8. Jacob awoke each day to a full agenda, rolling out of bed and into the hair and makeup chair as early as 4:00am several days in a row. She participated in radio remote broadcasts speaking with more than 35 radio stations and program syndicators about her upcoming single and video, 'With You' and her excitement about participating in CMA
Music Festival.
Early in the week, she spent more than a half hour cutting up with Bill Cody and Charlie Mattos on the air at WSM-AM. After performing a couple of acoustic numbers for them, Cody said 'That's the most powerful voice we've heard in this studio in quite some time!' During the Festival, she hosted fan and radio luncheons, talked with fans and signed autographs in exhibit hall booths including GAC's, Wrangler's, and Sprint/Nextel's, in addition to her own. The enthusiastic response of screams, whistles, and applause proved that she wowed the crowd at the IFCO (International Fan Club Organization) show at Cadillac Ranch on Wednesday (4) evening, and she roused fans to their feet to dance during her high-energy Riverfront Stage performance on Saturday (7) in spite of the sweltering temperature and humidity.
'I really had an awesome time at my first CMA Music Festival,' says Jacob. 'I had been to Nashville for this event several times before, but this was the first time I was able to participate as an artist and it was very exciting for me. It was loads of fun. Country music fans are so gracious. I love them. They're all so sweet. Some of them actually brought copies of the Country Weekly articles and other magazine articles about me and had me autograph them. I really found that amazing. That's pretty dedicated.'
She has been featured on 'GAC Nights,' in a Radio & Records feature on hot independent artists, and in Country Weekly magazine's 'Who To Watch In '08.' Recently, Robin Leach referred to Jacob, Miranda Lambert, Kelly Pickler, Julianne Hough, and Taylor Swift as 'a young fresh-faced set of tomorrow's giants...' in Las Vegas magazine and Luxe Life Digest with Robin Leach.
Her new single, 'With You,' is scheduled to hit radio airwaves June 23. The accompanying music video will follow the single release. Jacob's debut album BREAKIN' ALL THE RULES is scheduled for release first quarter, 2009.
