Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Lyric Street Records) - June 6, 2008- The members of Rascal Flatts, Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus , were honored earlier this week at the Make-A-Wish "Wish Kid Reunion" which took place at the Nashville Children's theater.
The band received special recognition, the Make-A-Wish Shining Star Award, for selfless Leadership and Inspiration within the Country Music industry in support of the Middle Tennessee Chapter.

The reunion event was part of a national call-to-action, Destination Joy presented by LAY'SR, designed to remind Americans that every individual has the power to help grant a wish.
The event also recognized the chapter's largest corporate partners, each of whom has set an example with creative mechanisms to contribute to the Make-A-Wish cause.
