Los Angeles, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Pioneer Electronics) - Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. proudly sponsors the Asia America Symphony Orchestra for a concert on June 7, 2008 under the direction of David Benoit, featuring special guest world-renowned jazz saxophonist Sadao Watanabe. The performance also features a reading of Beethoven's Symphony No 6 in F, Opus 68 "Pastorale," and the world premiere performance of David Benoit's "Dolores Del Carmen" for Spanish guitar & Orchestra, with a special guest appearance by acclaimed guitarist Sir Angel Romero. For tickets, visit www.asiaamericasymphony.org, or call (310) 377-8977.

Twenty deaf and hard of hearing patrons will experience the magic of the concert thanks to Pioneer's 'Listening through the Body' technology on loan from Japan for this special event. Combining an innovative vibrating seat with an optional magnetic loop, headphones and/or hearing aid, the unique system enables the deaf and hard of hearing audience members to experience musical performances.

WHY: Concertgoers who have used the Pioneer technology-including those with varying levels of hearing loss-say it enables them to enjoy music. Employees at Pioneer's headquarters in Tokyo, where concerts for the deaf and hard of hearing are held monthly, say users of the listening system are often overcome with emotion when experiencing musical performances for the first time. For this reason, Pioneer's dedicated and passionate sound engineers have developed and refined the listening system as a labor of love.

WHO: Twenty members from deaf and hard of hearing schools and organizations throughout Southern California will be attending the concert as guests of Pioneer. Participating organizations include:

- The National Center on Deafness at Cal State Northridge
- The Orange County Deaf Equal Access Foundation (OC DEAF)
- The Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness (GLAD)

WHEN: Saturday, June 7, 2008 - 8 p.m.

WHERE: Aratani Japan America Theatre
Japanese American Cultural and Community Center
244 S. San Pedro St., Los Angeles (Little Tokyo), CA
