Just this week, the Academy of Country Music's Board of Directors honored the group with the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award, which is presented to an outstanding pioneer of country music. The Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award is the latest from the Academy of Country Music, which previously named the Oak Ridge Boys Vocal Group of the Year as well as Album of the Year. "Elvira" also accorded the Oak Ridge Boys a Grammy for Country Vocal Group.
