Shawna Russell is Featured Download Artist in Country Weekly Magazine's Debut Edition of 'Listen Up!' - on Newsstands Now

Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Nine North Records) - Way Out West/Nine North Records artist Shawna Russell and her current single 'Goddess' are featured in the June 2 issue of Country Weekly in a new section of the magazine called 'Listen Up' - on newsstands May 19.

Country Weekly readers can learn about Russell in 'Listen Up!' and until June 2nd they can visit www.countryweekly.com and download a free copy of Russell's 'Goddess,' which goes for adds at Country radio today.

In the past 2 months, Russell has been visiting radio stations across the country - in between performance dates - to promote 'Goddess.' The single is gaining early support at R&R, Music Row and Secondary radio.

'Listen Up!' reveals that Russell is a veteran performer who has criss-crossed the U.S. performing up to six nights a week, often five sets a night - and spent time touring as a featured member of Ty England's band - in her quest to establish herself in the music business. And that Russell co-wrote 12 of the 13 songs on her debut CD, Goddess (which received a 3 1/2 star review in Country Weekly's April 7 edition).

In addition to highlighting Russell and 'Goddess' (which she co-wrote with her uncle/producer, Tim Russell and father/band guitarist, Keith Russell), 'Listen Up!' also includes songs by Joe Diffie, Zane Lewis, Billy Yates, Amber Rhodes and Stephen Cochran.
