NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Columbia Nashville) - Montgomery Gentry's seventh album 'Back When I Knew It All' isn't out until June 10 but the album's title track and lead-off single is already the duo's fastest rising single to date at No 12 on Billboard's Hot Country this week. Reflecting on the universal arrogance of youth, the song offers humbling wisdom through heartfelt vocals over solid acoustic and electric guitar performances that drive the southern rock feel of this country anthem.

Troy Gentry recently told Billboard, "We've been hearing from a lot of fans - they want some more raucous kind of stuff out of us. Some of the in-your-face, hard rock kind of stuff. So we're going to bring in some of the older Montgomery Gentry style back into the music, as far as twin lead guitars and hard-driving kind of sounds that we had in the past."

Following the success of their 2006 release 'Some People Change,' a deeper and more introspective album for the duo that garnered three top five singles and their first GRAMMY nomination, 'Back When I Knew It All' returns to the grittier rock edge that has historically defined the Montgomery Gentry experience. The album features special guest performances from Toby Keith on "I Pick My Parties" and Jypsi's Lillie Mae Rische on "God Knows Who I Am."

With 11 top five singles, three platinum and two gold discs, and a legacy of all-out party-atmosphere concerts, Montgomery Gentry has proven that they know how to rock the house - on disc and on stage. The duo launched an extensive nationwide tour on April 19th and will open for Toby Keith on his Ford Trucks-sponsored Biggest & Baddest Tour as well as headline several of their own dates this summer.
