LITTLETON, Colorado (Top40 Charts/ Brian Walton Records) - WOW! 2007 was a monumental year for Brian Walton. The Live release of the album "Made in the Shade" (The original album was recorded in 1991) exceeded even the most optimistic expectations and has levitated Brian's reputation as a singer/songwriter right through the roof. Combined Internet sales at retailers like; Amazon and CD Baby exceeded 5,000 CD's 3 months after the 1 August, 2007 release of the album with MP3 downloads reaching over 8,000 by the end of the year. And there seems to be no end in sight. Sources close to the artist said that daily sales of the album continues to grow and new sign-ups over at the official Fan-Site (www.waltoncity.com) has reached an average of about 20 a day, so what is the Buzz all about and why is the live version of the album experiencing much better sales as the original release?

Well according to Brian it's a matter of production. The original album couldn't showcase the energy one experiences during his live performances where he feels much more at Home than in the Studio. "I'm at my best on Stage" says the artist who is no slouch in the Studio as well with over 30 published musical productions under his belt either as musician, engineer or producer. "In the studio I become the ultimate perfectionist and demand a lot, not only from myself, but also from those who I work with." Brian goes on to admit that he learned to relax with the production of "Made in the Shade Live", "You can't go back and overdub or rework a live performance; otherwise, it's no longer live." The award winning recording artist also admits that he was extremely nervous releasing the album, because of the occasional mistake, but in my opinion, if you can find one, it probably adds to the authenticity of the performance.

Brian also announced that he is back in the Studio working on a new album and the recently released single "Where the dirt road ends" is chewing it's way up the charts. Promising to overtake the popularity of the Live album by leaps and bounds. Brian says: that the new album will be much more relaxed and "rootsy" leveraging on the experiences made during the recording of "Made in the Shade Live!" and his Southern-Rock heritage. All tracks will be recorded live with minimal reworking of the original. The production schedule will also be extremely tight, so that the album can be released in time for the scheduled European tour in August 2008.
