
Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ 1720 Entertainment) - On Friday, April 11, emerging country star Rissi Palmer will be among several artists who will perform at the "Salute to Our Heroes" celebration honoring all who have served in our country's military. The day long event that begins at 12:30pm and continues thru midnite, will be open to soldiers, their family members, retirees, Gold Star Families, Department of Defense Civilians and contractors. More than 80,000 in all are expected to attend.The concert will take place at Hood Stadium located on the Fort Hood Military base and will be broadcast around the world at www.synclive.com.
Palmer will no doubt be performing material from her self-titled debut on 1720 Entertainment that was released in October and has since made its way into the Top 10 on iTunes' country sales chart. The album features nine songs co-written by Palmer, including the Top 40 "Country Girl" and her latest single, "Hold On To Me."
