Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Jason Meadows Official Website/ CMT) - CMT nominee Jason Meadows will be making a special stop in Florida this week to appear on the nationally syndicated morning show The Daily Buzz and regionally syndicated mid-day show Daytime. On Thursday, February 28, Jason will be appearing live on The Daily Buzz from Winter Park Florida, followed by an appearance on Daytime that will be taped for airing later in March. Jason will be performing two songs for each program where he will be promoting his upcoming album and current CMT nominated music video, '18 Video Tapes.' Getting up early for the morning shows are nothing to the rugged Jason Meadows. True to his country roots, Jason grew up among the rural cattle ranches of Oklahoma. "Growing up," he says, "we learned to rope and ride, and we took part in rodeos pretty much every weekend. I spent a lot of my time in the Vo-Ag building and with the FFA (Future Farmers of America), learning about animals." He took part in the Oklahoma Youth Rodeo Association, honing his skills as a calf-roper. This is the authenticity that helped carry him from his family's farm in Calera to Nashville, where he began playing in bars and honkytonks. His humble beginnings are the foundation for his music which tells a modern day story of the American cowboy. Along the way, he has made a name for himself by impressing the likes of Reba McEntire. The Oklahoma native McEntire, made it her business to help set him up in Nashville. He then turned both the audience and judges of the hit USA Network 'Nashville Star' TV series into fans with his bigger-than-life persona and ownership of the center stage spotlight. As honest as his western boots, Jason has earned the wear in his Wrangler jeans. What has amazed everyone the most is his recent music video '18 Video Tapes.' Created with real photos & clips of military families by first time director, Jeanine Pellegrino, using iMac's iMovie software, the no budget music video quickly became a YouTube sensation. The thousands of internet hits quickly caught the attention of CMT which nominated '18 Video Tapes' in the 'Tear Jerker of the Year' category along the side of country giants, like Kenny, Reba, Faith & Tim. It is also the first ever YouTube video to be added to the CMT play list. Despite the video's success, what remains most important to Jason is the fact that '18 Video Tapes' was created for the non-profit organization HUGGSS to inspire the families of fallen military service men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan. Bringing awareness to their lives and hope to these brave families, '18 Video Tapes' will reach out and touch your heart. From the rodeo shows of Oklahoma, regional clubs and to his impressive debut with the CD 100% Cowboy, Jason is a diamond in the rough who is shining bright with national recognition and CMT Award nomination. Be sure to watch Jason Meadows live on The Daily Buzz Thursday February 28th and later in March on Daytime. To learn more about Jason or to vote for '18 Video Tapes' go to CMT.com.
